Evan Rachel Wood
Evan Rachel Wood was born in Raleigh,
North Carolina, on the 7th of September, 1987. Her father, Ira David Wood III
is a stage writer and actor, and her mother, Sara Wood is an actress and acting
coach. Her brothers who are older than her are Dana Wood, a musician and Ira
David Wood IV who are also actors. Evan and her brothers acted in the Theatre
In The Park, Raleigh which is where her father serves as the director. After a
long audition process at the age of five, she was old when she had the opportunity
to screen-test with Kirsten Dunst. In the year 1996, she relocated to Los
Angeles along with her brother Ira and mother. She has appeared in TV shows as
well as feature films and television movies since. Tracy was her character in
Practical Magic (1998) and also in S1m0ne (2002 the child of Al Pacino). Holly
Hunter followed with Thirteen (2004). The role she played as Tracy in
"Thirteen," which she played in was nominated for the Golden Globes
for Best Performance by an Actress in a Drama, and a nomination from the Screen
Actors Guild Award for Outstanding Performance by an Actress Female in the
Leading Role. She was the first actress nominated for an award for a Leading
Role award at the time. In her role as Veda Pierce in in the HBO mini-series
Mildred Pierce (2011) was nominated for an Emmy and Golden Globe nominations.
Her remarkable portrayal of Stephanie Rourke's estranged daughter in Darren
Aronofsky's The Wrestler (2008) earned her praise. She is the daughter of Sara
Wood and Ira David Wood III. Ira David Wood IV's younger sister, and Dana
Wood's younger sister. Dancer. She loves to sing, take a horseback ride, and
rollerblade. She holds black belt in tae-kwon do. She's kept in contact with
for the majority of her time in Once and Again (1999) co-stars: Mischa Barrton,
Julia Whelan and Shane West.
