Her father, Ira David Wood III is a stage writer and actor, and her mother, Sara Wood is an actress and acting coach. Her brothers who are older than her are Dana Wood, a musician and Ira David Wood IV who are also actors. Evan and her brothers acted in the Theatre In The Park, Raleigh which is where her father serves as the director. Big Time Rush is an American boy band that specializes in the field of pop. The group was formed in 2009. The group is composed of Kendall Schmidt, James Maslow, Logan Henderson, and Carlos PenaVega. They initially signed with Nick Records in 2009. Then, Columbia Records transferred them to their new label. The group appeared on the television series on Nickelodeon with the same name, Big Time Rush. The show ran from November 28th, 2009 until July 25, 2013. The pilot episode featured the group's first promotional single, "Big Time Rush". Three studio albums were released by the group: BTR in 2010 and Elevate (2011) as well as 24/Seven (2013).
